Learn about the art of making fused glass in a workshop.

Throughout the workshops you will learn the basics of glass cutting before then going on to learn about glass fusing techniques including, layering, use of frit & stringers and dichroic glass effects before then creating several pieces of glass from your own designs. You will have the opportunity to make a wall hanging/sun catcher, coaster and glass jewellery or a glass dish on a full day workshop. All pieces will be fired in the kiln following the course and I will attach all jewellery findings to your glass prior to collection too. Maximum of 3 students per workshop to provide individual tuition and support.     

Workshops take place in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford, Essex in my new workshop.  

 Full day Workshop: £80 incl materials 10- 3pm  (10% discount available when booked at a Guild of Essex Craftsmen event or you are a returning fuser wanting to try more)

Fusing taster: £43 incl materials 10– 12.30pm - You will be able to make a coaster, window hanging and some items of jewellery in this workshop

          Jewellery Taster :£45 incl materials 1—3.30pm - You will be able to make a selection of pendants, earrings, brooches using dichroic glass and a coaster in this workshop

            Please bring your own lunch on the full day workshop, tea/coffee provided.See students work page for examples of what previous students have made in the workshops.

Kiln hire is available for anyone wanting to do more glass work at home but not yet ready to take the plunge of buying a kiln.

If 2 friends want to attend a workshop on a specific date I can often work out dates for future workshops around you. Please phone/email to discuss this with me.
