2012 - now  full time Glass Designer, Glass Teacher (and occassional supply teacher)

I first discovered glass on a stall at Brentwood Strawberry Fair and loved it. After buying huge amounts of her stock over several months I decided it was time to learn how to make it myself so I found a 1 day course in London and the rest as they say is history....well after 10 more months of travelling into London on 1 train, out of it on another line and a 20min walk once a week to learn more at the glass workshop.... and a house move enabling me to have space for a kiln it was! This was all back in 2005 and since then I've been on many more glass workshops to build my skills and knowledge and now I run workshops in my home studio in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford, Essex.

In 2006 I was selected as a member of The Guild of Essex Craftsmen and until 2013 regularly attend their craft fairs to exhibit my glass work while demonstrating glass making skills. (2014 onwards my membership has ended)

In 2011 I became a stained glass apprentice at Glass From The Past and developed my leaded glass skills specialising in leaded restorations. I restored severely damaged windows both in the studio and out on location and am now able to take on leaded window design work or small scale repairs of windows on site.

In Sept 2012 I left teaching to become a full time glass artist after 11yrs in a school art room. Since then I've been able to develop more designs, supply Maldon District Council Tourist Centres and run a lot of workshops from my home studio. 2017 promises to be an exciting year with the addition of a new garden studio workshop coming soon.
